Sourcing
We pride ourselves on sourcing our mushroom extracts directly from their natural substrates in the pristine mountains of the Fujian and Zhejiang provinces in China. Unlike many other companies that grow their mushrooms using grain substrates like rice, all of our mushrooms are Di-Tao sourced using only 100% fruiting body extracts. (Analysis has shown that mushrooms that are mycelium grown on grain have low levels of beta-glucans, undetectable levels of triterpenoids and very high levels of starch.)
We believe that the true potency and quality of these medicinal fungi come from their natural environments using only the fruiting body. We work with experienced and trusted suppliers to ensure that our mushrooms are harvested at the optimal time and processed with care to preserve their natural bioactive compounds.
Di-Tao
Our extracts are Di-Tao sourced, which means that they come from the original growing source of the mushroom. In Chinese herbalism, Di-Tao means “authentic source” and refers to the practice of sourcing herbs and mushrooms from their natural habitat, where they grow and thrive in the most optimal conditions.
We believe that mushrooms that are sourced through Di-Tao are of superior quality because they have evolved to adapt to their specific environment, which results in a unique and complex chemical composition. When mushrooms are grown in an artificial environment or on mycelium, they lack the full spectrum of beneficial compounds that are found in Di-Tao sourced mushrooms.
Our Di-Tao sourced mushrooms are grown in their natural habitats, where they are exposed to the elements, wild plants, and natural microbes. These conditions result in mushrooms that are more robust, potent, and nutrient-dense. Extraction Process

Our extraction process combines both hot water and organic alcohol extraction methods, which allows us to extract both water-soluble and alcohol-soluble compounds.
The water extraction process is used to extract the water-soluble polysaccharides, such as beta-glucans, while the alcohol extraction process is used to extract the alcohol-soluble compounds, such as triterpenoids. This dual extraction process ensures that all of the critical and beneficial compounds are extracted from the mushrooms, resulting in a potent and effective extract.
